sales lead boxes

Can I get lead poisoning at work restocking lead plates in them?
The plates were issued warnings in accordance with California Proposition 65, which means they do not contain lead. Can you go into my system just by its use? The boxes have the warning, but no plates, cups, bowls or themselves. They are sold in California. I'm in Michigan. I worry a little. California has strict laws on the content lead, why not the rest of the country? My shop, a chain of dollar stores sell them all the time. Why can not they warn people about the possible content of lead? Frightening is not it? Please, if anyone can seriously answer this let me know. Thank you in advance.
The Lead has no place in the ceramic to be used by people for lunch! Because lead is toxic at very low levels and is cumulative California wisely banned lead in ceramics. Children are particularly sensitive (first link below). We had friends who is the daughter of poisoning Lead from scratch in a bath tub old china with great caution! A few sheets of lead-based eaten by a child is sufficient to cause damage. You should talk with the store manager about it and maybe wear gloves. I could not find any information regarding your particular situation, but the rule should be "zero exposure". I think it would be a good topic for you to talk to the Centers for Disease Control. (www.cdc.gov) The second link below is the "CDC contact us" page. They are the experts.
